    American writer

    Eric S. Nylund (born November 12, 1964) is an American novelist and professional technical writer. His wife, Syne Mitchell, is also a science fiction writer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master's degree in chemical physics from the University of California, San Diego.[1] He lives in North Bend, Washington with his wife, Syne, and son, Kai Nylund.

    Nylund is the author of three novels set in the Halo universe: Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: First Strike, and Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, as well as a short story in Halo: Evolutions and the graphic novel Halo Wars: Genesis. He is employed as a writer for Microsoft Game Studios. His duties include the development of story bibles and other such fictional assets, the preparation of materials for marketing, and coordination with Microsoft localization, legal, and geopolitical departments.

    Johanna Nylund graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2022, and has since worked as a freelance opera singer mainly in the Nordics. She has been a guest at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, Finnish National Opera, musikdrama Hedeland and Copenhagen Operafestival among others. The finnish soprano makes her German debut as a member of the soloist ensemble of Landestheater Detmold in season 2025​. 

    Nylund’s opera roles include for example Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Liù in Puccini’s Turandot, Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte,Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto,Clorinda in Rossini’s Cenerentola and Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.

    Swedish ceramic designer (1904–1997)

    Gunnar Nylund (1 May 1904–1997) was a Swedishceramic designer since the 1930s, best known as the artistic director of Rörstrand, and was already a well-established ceramic artist in Denmark first at the Bing & Grøndahl Porcelain factory in Copenhagen 1925–28. Later, in 1928, in collaboration with chemist Nathalie Krebs, he started a ceramics workshop, which became Saxbo in 1930, which kept making his stoneware until 1932. Nylund worked for Rörstrand from 1931–1955, the majority of the time as artistic director. He became well known for his new matte feldspar glazed stoneware in hare's fur and crystal glazes and for his stoneware animal sculptures.

    Over five decades, Nylund crafted some 30 reliefs and sculptures commissioned for public spaces. Moreover, in the 1940s he was commissioned to do several freelance projects, including designing bathroom fixtures and interiors for the Swedish bathroom manufacturer Ifö. H
