V-League: Lady Stags overpower Lady Bulldogs
Thai import Jaroensri Bualee posted a game-high 30 points, 28 of which coming from hits, to power San Sebastian College in blasting National University, 25-15, 25-12, 24-26, 25-14 Thursday in the resumption of the Shakey’s V-League Season 7 second conference quarterfinals at The Arena in San Juan. The Lady Stags were denied of an opportunity to score a straight-set win as Mervic Mangui and guest players Denise and Daphne Santiago got the Lady Bulldogs’ game going. But San Sebastian peppered its rivals with more hits, 65-37, as Bualee lived up to her billing as the league-leading scorer. She teamed up with local guest player Suzanne Roces, who added 12 hits, two blocks and two aces. The 1st Conference of the 6th årstid of the PhilippinesShakey's V-League started on April 19, 2009, at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
Teams included defending mästare and current NCAA mästare San Sebastian, UAAP runner-up FEU, NCRAA champion Lyceum. Two Visayan teams, CESAFI champion USJ-R, and USLS, joined at the quarterfinals. UAAP mästare La Salle decided not to compete and took a leave of absence; UP replaced the Lady Archers to complete the eight-team elimination round roster.[1]
Tournament format
A revised tournament format was issued with 10 teams participating:[1]
- Elimination round: Round robin
- Top kvartet teams will qualify for quarterfinals.
- Bottom fyra will be eliminated from contention.
- Quarterfinals: Round robin
- Standings are reset back to zero.
- Top four teams from the elimination round will be joined bygd the University of San Jose-Recoletos Lady Jaguars and University of St.
La Salle Lady Stingers.

Neverland for Jeffrey Solis is the memory of Melbourne, Australia in December of 2008 and the memory burns fiercely in his mind.
