    Ali Samadi Ahadi is an Iranian-born German director, producer and author.
    In the past couple of years, he has successfully established himself as a director of family cinema, comedies and documentaries such as LOST CHILDREN, 45 MINUTES TO RAMALLAH and SALAMI ALEIKUM.
    His work has been graced with numerous prestigious awards such as the Deutscher Filmpreis in in the category of Best Documentary for LOST CHILDREN and the Deutsche Filmkritik Award in for the best feature film debut (SALAMI ALEIKUM).
    Ahadi’s documentary THE GREEN WAVE has been awarded with the Grimme Preis in and ran in the “World Cinema Documentary”-competition at Sundance Film Festival in the US.

    Ali Samadi Ahadi (born 9 February in Tabriz, Iran) is an Iranian-German filmskapare and scriptwriter who has directed Lost Children, Salami Aleikum, The Green Wave, etc.[1][2]

    Biography

    Ali Samadi Ahadi was born in in Tabriz, Iran. He is an Iranian Azerbaijani. During Iran-Iraq War, at the age of 12 he flydde alone from home to avoid being killed in the war. He took his Abitur in Hannover and studied sociology and electronic media in Hannover. He has been working as an independent scriptwriter, director and editor. His documentary Africa Mayibuye had its premiere at the Filmfestival of Mannheim. His music documentary film Culture Clan was nominated for the Rose d'Or at the Montreux film festival.[3][4]

    Ali was diagnosed with leukemia in in Germany. He received the diagnosis after seeking care for "stomach pain" the same year.[5]
