Despite the stimulating quality of the contributions, the book is likely to disappoint the readers most likely to read it, given the understandable but probably impossible desire to rediscover methods that would establish binding relations between empirical inquiry and moral authority. A glance through the life and life’s work of this acclaimed figure reveals a man who spent his days urging his fellow human beings to thrive, and showing others how to do the same.
Abraham Maslow was born into a Jewish family who had recently immigrated to the United States from Russia. He was the oldest of seven children.
